…and I can’t help but think about all the people that raved about it like it was the saviour of the franchise (mind you these are the same vii fancunts who make it their sworn duty to rage about a ffvii remaster/ramake on every piece of new final fantasy media). 

Here’s the thing, it’s 7 years later and all we have that’s of any real substance is the First Production Department trailer. I’m not going to rant of complain, calm down.

A lot of things have been pointing towards Versus XIII finally being revealed at E3 this year which is right around the corner. 

I won’t lie, Square Enix has been disappointing me a lot within the last few years and I’m not even just speaking about the Final Fantasy franchise but I am hoping that at E3 they finally reveal Versus and new IPs.

People need to realize a few things about Versus as well, some of those things being :

• Final Fantasy Versus XIII (or Final Fantasy XV as it’s been rumoured to have been changed to) is not the saviour of the Final Fantasy franchise and quite frankly I don’t know where people got this notion that the franchise needed saving in the first place.
• Tetsuya Nomura himself that the battle system in Versus XIII would serve as a prototype highlighting the battle system in KH3 so all you Kingdom Hearts fancunts need to get your shit together and stop whining about how much you want KH3, you’re not the only one and you should really just calm the fuck down.
• This game is a huge title and it’s been volatile due to it’s nature as far as graphics and story goes. Nomura has taken his time with this title and the Luminous Studio Engine was not originally intended to be Versus’ graphics engine. You really can’t rush something like that and getting overly upset over something you “want so badly” is only going to set you up for failure when it does eventually see the light of day.
• Saying “fuck versus we want a ffvii remake, give the fans what they want” isn’t going to give Square Enix any incentive to remake/remaster the one game in the franchise that doesn’t need any more games/media let me just remind you fancunts out there that under the umbrella of Final Fantasy VII there is: FFVII, Before Crisis FFVII, FFVII Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core VII, FFVII Advent Children AND FFVII Advent Children Complete (there are more btw but these are the major ones, don’t believe me google it)

The TLDR of if it all is that Final Fantasy Versus XIII, no matter how excited I might’ve once been for it, I look forward to seeing it at E3 this year even if it’s under another name and people just need to give the damned game a break, it isn’t even out yet.

Now a LOT of people are bashing this design and yes I’m aware there are quite a few belts on this outfit as is (10 points if you can count how many belts there are) but I think that it’s good that Nomura’s taking strides in trying new things. This isn’t his typical work but I don’t have any real problem with it. My only quarrel is that there are some similarities between this (the default outfit in LR:FXIII) and the female character we saw in the First Production trailer of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. 

If you don’t have any clue what the fuck I’m talking about.

Sure you’ll die a little on the inside but I cannot be the only one to have drawn this comparison (or maybe I am, hooray for being unique) 

So the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII trailer came out and boy oh boy the worst fan base in the world strikes again.

Honestly, why complain if you’re going to buy the game anyway? 

Even Nomura, who is simply in LOVE with Lightning said that this is her last game. People just need to chill the fuck out and let things happen.

Especially the dumbasses who still can’t seem to wrap their mind around the fact that  different dev teams worked on / are working on the games for the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII branch of games.

According to what I read. 

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will basically be like Assassin’s Creed meets The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask meets Final Fantasy.

You know what…

Seeing Lightning’s default outfit/armour for this game made me think of 2 things 

Is it me or is her new armour very reminiscent of the unknown figure we saw in the Versus First Production trailer?

What Motomu Toriyama explains about the “World Driven” concept of Lightning Returns rings a bit of a bell.

“This is a Fantasy based on Reality” 

All these Fabula Nova Crystallis games have some form of co-relation between them and although Versus was supposed to be the furthest away from all of these games, they all shared the mythos of Fabula Nova Crystallis.

I think it’s interesting what I’m seeing so far in these presentations based on “Lightning Returns”

Will there be some sort of link between the events that happen in Lightning Returns and those which happen in Versus XIII?

Only time will tell but I must say I’m quite intrigued
